Entirely solar powered, no installation or additional wiring is necessary for this pleasant garden décor. Just simply place the lanterns in sunny location and enjoy the lantern lighting from dusk. The solar lantern lights automatically turn on at dusk and off at dawn. Fully powered lantern glows for 10 hours. They can work normally under all kinds of weather with waterproof rating of IP44.
Warm tips:
- Make sure to turn the switch to “ON” before getting charged in the sunny place.
- For optimum performance it is suggested to fully charge the lantern for 10-12 hours in the direct sunlight before first-time use.
- A cycle of running 8-10 times of the entire charging and discharging will make the battery reach its maximum electrical capacity.
- Charging efficiency depends on the geographical location, weather conditions and seasonal light availability. Insufficient sunlight or time to charge may obviously effect the working time and status of the solar lantern.
- Solar lantern lights need to be kept away from the streetlights and other bright luminant, otherwise the lanterns won’t glow.

I love this lantern. It is solar powered and just beautiful when lit. I had another one that I bought locally, but the wind knocked it off of my patio table, and I was crushed because I loved it so. I was so excited when i found it on Amazon! I now use this one indoors. It’s a great addition to patriotic decorations.

I bought this 7 inch Alpine Patriotic Lantern the end of April 2021 and the only disappointment was that in the winter this year it did not come on unless, of course, the sun came out during the day. But it was not against the lantern. I just loved it so much and did not think about the sun thing. LOL ! It is now almost February and it makes its appearance for a short time in the evening. BUT! I now know it will be coming back more in the the sunny fall days I look forward to seeing it as the sun starts to disappear. I see it outside my kitchen window and it blesses my heart. I have an older brother that was wounded in Vietnam. And, every time I see that lantern it reminds me how thankful I am that he was able to come home.

I have multiple flickering flame solar lights, including lanterns such as these. I received my first set a few weeks ago, and this is what I have found to be true, so far. These particular lanterns seem to be made of a sturdy plastic, so you do not have to worry about rust from metal. They come with an easy to assemble hanger with clip, if you should desire to use clip. If so desired. They are very bright and realistic looking. Once fully charged, they have operated from dusk until dawn. I have gotten up just before sunrise, and they are still lit. This particular brand is taller than the standard size of other brands I have purchased in the past. The larger size allows for more light, and a better display.
