The doorbell arrived at the promised time, with directions and everything needed for a very simple installation. I was impressed with selections of “rings” that ranged from ding-dong to animal sounds to lovely classical music. I was able to place the two receivers at opposite ends of my large home so that I will be able to hear from any location if someone rings at my door. I haven’t had a chance to test the “weatherproof” aspect yet, but I have high hopes and expectations that it will perform in the coming cold and snowy weather.

I’ve had three battery operated wireless doorbells in the past 7 years that have all failed. This doorbell transmitter plugs into a regular electric socket, no battery! The opening of the doorbell button for installation was difficult (as noted in several other reviews) to open so that I could screw it to my house but once I conquered that, everything was a breeze and I’m a 76 year old woman, so if I can do it, so can you! I like the volume control, I can hear the bell clearly in the back of my house. Also the different doorbell rings are easy to set and fun (looking forward to jingle bells for the holidays). If you don’t have access to hard wire power for your doorbell this is a great alternative.

The disabled. I’ve got a couple of these with two transmitters and now three receivers. Each transmitter can have its own alert tone. My wife likes to spend time outdoors so one transmitter is set to activate a cat meow while the bedroom unit sounds like a heard of goats. There are a couple other sounds available that I’d use but the majority are crappy, tinny sounding musical chunks that no one should be subjected to. There’s one receiver in the house, one in the garage and another in a metal shop building about 150 feet away…. all work just fine.
